Cookies Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, which types we use and what each one is for. It also sets out how to change your choices, here or in your browser, and what to expect if you turn cookies off.

What cookies are and why we use them
A cookie is a small text file that a site asks your browser to store on the device you are using. When you return, the site can read that file, recognise your browser and remember things such as the language you chose or whether you are already signed in to your account with us.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way, including pixels, tags and the local storage built into your browser. Where this policy says cookies, it covers those technologies too.
We use cookies for four broad purposes:
- Running the site. Signing you in, keeping your session open as you move between pages, and protecting your account and our systems from misuse.
- Remembering your settings. Holding on to preferences you have set, such as your chosen language or whether you have already closed a notice.
- Understanding use. Seeing in aggregate which pages are visited, where loading is slow and where people leave, so we can fix what is not working.
- Measuring marketing. Working out which of our campaigns brought visitors to the site and, where you have agreed to it, showing messages that are more relevant to you.
Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser; these are session cookies. Others stay on your device for a set period so the site recognises your browser later; these are persistent cookies. The storage period for each one is shown in the cookie notice on the site.
The types of cookies we use
We group the cookies on our site into the four categories below. Strictly necessary cookies are always active, because the site cannot work without them. The other three categories are set only if you agree to them.
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the basic functions of the site working and keep your account safe. Without them you could not log in, hold a session, move through the cashier or complete a secure form.
- Keeping you signed in as you move between pages and restoring your session if a page is refreshed.
- Balancing traffic across our servers and spotting automated or fraudulent attempts to use an account.
- Recording the cookie choices you have made, so we do not ask the same question on every visit.
We hold a gaming licence and must verify accounts and keep records of the activity on them, and some of these cookies support those checks. They are not used for marketing.
Performance and analytics cookies
These help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. The information is looked at in aggregate rather than as a profile of you.
- Counting visits to a page and measuring how long it takes to load on different devices and connections.
- Showing us the point at which people abandon a form or a journey, so the steps can be simplified.
Functionality cookies
These remember the choices you make, so the site behaves the way you expect on your next visit.
- Storing your language, display and layout preferences.
- Remembering whether you have hidden a banner, opened the live chat window or turned sound off.
Marketing cookies
These measure the effect of our advertising and, where you have consented, make the messages you see more relevant. Some are set by the advertising partners we work with, which means those partners can also recognise your browser on other sites in their networks.
- Recording that a visit followed a particular advert or campaign, so we can tell what is working.
- Limiting how often the same message is shown to the same browser.
| Category | Set only with your consent | Typical purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | No, always active | Log-in, sessions, security and your cookie choices |
| Performance and analytics | Yes | Aggregate statistics on how pages are used |
| Functionality | Yes | Remembering the settings you have chosen |
| Marketing | Yes | Measuring campaigns and showing relevant messages |
How to manage your cookie choices
You can change your mind at any time, and you do not need to contact us to do it.
In the cookie notice on this site
When you first arrive you are shown a notice explaining the categories above. You can accept them all, refuse everything that is not strictly necessary, or open the detailed settings and switch each optional category on or off. Your choice is saved and applied on your next visit.
The settings can be reopened at any point from the cookie link in the footer. Changes take effect straight away, and optional cookies already on your device stop being read.
In your browser settings
Every modern browser lets you control cookies independently of our notice. The exact menu differs from one browser to the next, but most of them allow you to do the following.
- Look at the cookies and site data already stored on your device, and delete them either for a single site or for every site at once.
- Block cookies from being set, either all of them or only those placed by sites other than the one you are visiting.
- Clear the cookies that have been stored automatically every time you close the browser, so each visit starts fresh.
- Use a private or incognito window, which discards the cookies it stores at the end of the session.
Your browser's own help pages explain where these controls sit on your device. On a phone or tablet you may also be able to limit advertising identifiers in the system settings.
What happens if you block cookies
Refusing the optional categories does not stop you using the site. Strictly necessary cookies are different: the site relies on them, and if your browser rejects them some parts of it will not work fully.
- You may not be able to log in, or you may be signed out as soon as you open a new page.
- The cashier and other secure forms may fail to complete.
- Settings such as your language will reset on every visit, and the cookie notice will appear again each time.
- Tools that rely on your session, including the limits shown in your account, may not load correctly.
Before you clear everything
If you delete all cookies for the site, you also delete the record of your cookie choices. We will ask you again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy and how to reach us
We update this policy when the cookies on the site change or when we are required to explain something differently. The current version always appears on this page, and the categories listed in the cookie notice are kept in line with it.
If you have a question about a particular cookie, about the choices you have made, or about how to exercise your data protection rights, write to us at support@casinorichyleo.co.uk or use the live chat on the site. Please tell us which browser and device you are using, as that helps us give you a precise answer.
Playing safely
Our site is for adults aged 18 or over. You can set deposit limits, take a time-out or self-exclude from your account settings, and free confidential support is available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline. GamStop lets you exclude yourself from licensed gambling sites in Great Britain.
