Responsible Gaming at Richy Leo Casino
This page explains how we help you stay in control: the limits and breaks you can switch on in your account, the signs worth watching for, and the organisations that offer free, confidential support.

Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income
We run Richy Leo Casino for people who play for enjoyment. Every game we offer carries a built-in house advantage, so over time the odds favour the house and losing is the normal outcome. The most useful habit any player can keep is to treat a deposit as the price of an evening's entertainment rather than a way to earn or recover money.
Decide what you can comfortably afford to lose before you deposit, and stay inside that figure. Money set aside for rent, bills, food, travel or debt repayments should never reach your account with us. If you are borrowing from family or friends, or taking money out of savings in order to keep playing, that is a point to stop and use the tools described below.
Our games are for adults only. You must be 18 or over to register, deposit or place a bet. We hold a gaming licence for the services we offer and verify the identity and age of our account holders as a condition of that licence. If an account holder turns out to be underage, the account is closed, stakes are returned and any winnings are void.
Three habits worth keeping
Agree a budget before you play, never try to win losses back, and keep your gambling money entirely separate from money you need for anything else.
The tools in your account, and how to switch them on
Every account includes a set of safer gambling controls, held together in the responsible gaming area of the cashier. You can switch them on, tighten them or check what is active whenever you like, without asking us first. Our team can also apply any of them for you.
| Tool | What it does | When the change applies |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Caps what you can pay in over a day, a week or a month. | Lower limits apply at once; an increase needs a cooling-off period and your confirmation. |
| Loss limit | Caps the net amount you can lose over the period you choose. | Same as deposit limits: reductions are immediate, increases are not. |
| Session limit | Ends play and signs you out after the length of time you set. | From your next sign-in. |
| Reality check | Puts a reminder on screen at your chosen interval, showing how long you have played. | As soon as you save the setting. |
| Time-out | Locks your account for a short, fixed break. | Immediately, and it cannot be lifted early. |
| Self-exclusion | Closes your account to play for a longer minimum term. | Immediately, and for the full term you choose. |
Deposit, loss and session limits
These three limits work best set together: one on what goes in, one on what you can lose, and one on how long a sitting lasts. The periods and amounts available are shown in your account. A reduction takes effect as soon as you save it, while a higher limit only starts after a waiting period and a second confirmation from you, so that no limit can be lifted on impulse.
Time-outs and self-exclusion
A time-out is a short break: your account is locked for the period you pick, and it cannot be unlocked before the end. Self-exclusion is for longer and firmer breaks. It closes your account to play for a minimum term shown in your settings, stops all marketing from us, and will not be reversed during that term. You can arrange either in your account, through live chat, or by writing to support@casinorichyleo.co.uk or responsiblegaming@casinorichyleo.co.uk.
Reality checks
A reality check interrupts play at the interval you set and tells you how long you have been on site, which is easy to lose track of. Pausing to read it, and acting on it, is part of the point.
Switching a tool on
- Sign in and open the account menu, then the responsible gaming section.
- Choose the tool you want and the period it should cover.
- Enter the amount or the length of time, and save it.
- Confirm the change when we ask you to; lower limits apply straight away.
- Come back to the same page at any time to check what is active.
Signs that gambling may be causing harm
Problems tend to build slowly. Go through this checklist honestly, and look at the last few months rather than the last few days.
- You spend more than you planned, or play more often than you planned.
- You gamble to win back money you have already lost.
- You borrow money, sell belongings or use money meant for bills in order to play.
- You keep the amount you gamble from your partner, family or friends.
- Gambling comes before work, study, sleep, meals or the people around you.
- You feel restless or low when you are not gambling.
- Thoughts about gambling take up a large part of your day.
- Arguments about the money or time you spend gambling are becoming regular.
If several of these fit
Place a time-out or self-exclusion on your account today and speak to one of the organisations below. Support is free and confidential, and you do not have to be in crisis to use it.
Where to get free, confidential help
Help in the United Kingdom is independent of us, costs nothing and is open to anyone affected, including family members.
- GambleAware - a charity that provides clear information on gambling harm and routes into free treatment across Great Britain.
- GamCare - offers free counselling, group support and practical advice for players and for the people close to them.
- GamStop - the free national online self-exclusion scheme; a single registration blocks you from gambling sites licensed in Great Britain for the term you select.
- National Gambling Helpline - confidential support by telephone and live chat at any hour of the day, for players and for anyone worried about someone else.
Your GP is another way in and can refer you to specialist NHS treatment for gambling harm. Many banks also let you block gambling payments from their app, and blocking software can stop gambling content loading on your phone, tablet or computer. Used alongside self-exclusion, these are harder to undo in a difficult moment.
Keeping under-18s away from our games
Underage gambling is never permitted here. We carry out age and identity verification when an account is opened, and again where our checks call for it, using the documents listed in the cashier. Accounts stay restricted until those checks are complete.
If children or young people share a device with you, a few simple steps make a real difference:
- Do not let a shared browser save your password or sign-in details.
- Sign out fully when you finish, instead of only closing the tab.
- Keep payment cards and banking apps out of reach.
- Install parental control or content-filtering software that blocks gambling sites, and set up separate user profiles on shared computers.
- Talk to older children about why gambling is restricted to adults.
If you believe someone under 18 has used your account, or you want a limit, time-out or self-exclusion applied on your behalf, contact us on live chat or at support@casinorichyleo.co.uk and we will act on it.
